FAQ

Which city. How long. Where to start.

The questions we get before every trip.

Depends on what you're looking for. Rome (35 places, 75 stories) and Mexico City (40 places, 40 stories) are the densest — ideal if you want to immerse in one city for several days. Florence, Pisa, and Vatican are perfect for 1–2 day trips. Madrid, Paris, and Buenos Aires combine history with contemporary urban walks. Milan is great if you're interested in the crossroads of Renaissance, Risorgimento, and industrial Italy.

Rome with 75 stories across 35 places (including multi-chapter deep dives on the Colosseum and the Roman Forum), followed by Buenos Aires with 65 stories in 59 places. Mexico City has 40 places with 40 stories. These three are the most comprehensive for multi-day exploration.

Pisa (14 places, 18 stories) works in one relaxed day. Vatican (13 places, 18 stories) also in one day — though you should book Vatican Museums tickets in advance. Florence (18 places, 23 stories) in 2 comfortable days.

Yes — it's the ideal case for Pisa (from Florence), Vatican (from Rome), and Florence (from several Italian cities). Just make sure you have a connection while you walk (mobile data or a local eSIM): the stories play via streaming.

Rome and Mexico City stand out: Rome has 2,500 years of history under your feet, and Mexico City was literally built on Tenochtitlan (Mexica + viceroyalty + Revolution + modern city on the same corner). Madrid also blends the Habsburg capital with 19th- and 20th-century Madrid.

Florence, Pisa, and the Vatican are the most compact — everything within walking distance. Madrid and Paris are very walkable in their historic centers. Buenos Aires and Mexico City are larger: you'll combine walking with metro/bus to reach further neighborhoods (Coyoacán, Xochimilco, Palermo, San Telmo, etc.).

For now, all 13 Ruthy cities are in neutral Spanish, narrated by Lucas Botta. We're preparing the English version.

It depends on the city. Rome, Florence, Pisa, Vatican, and Madrid focus on the historic center. Paris extends to Montmartre and Versailles. Buenos Aires covers Microcentro, Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo, La Boca, Belgrano, and more. Mexico City includes the Historic Center, Reforma, Chapultepec, Coyoacán, Xochimilco, and Guadalupe. Milan has the central icons plus Cimitero Monumentale and Piazzale Loreto.
